This beautiful single cask single malt was distilled at the popular Caol Ila Distillery on Islay and matured for 10 years before bottling and released by Hunter Laing. It’s a well-rounded and moreish whisky that brings thick bonfire smoke, peat, freshly cut grass and sea salt on the nose, before the palate makes itself known with more gentle smoke and charred oak that is balanced by sharp lemon zest. The finish long with lingering peat. It’s a fantastic dram for any fan of Islay whisky and one that is highly limited in numbers.
