The Macallan Concept Series is a groundbreaking series from Scotland’s most famous distillery that pushes the boundaries of what’s possible with whisky.
The Macallan Concept No.1 was inspired by surreal art and was matured in sherry seasoned oak casks before being transferred to ex-bourbon casks for a similar time period. It is crafted to explore the differing effects casks can have on a dram while highlighting the distillery’s commitment to wood management and mastery. Bringing butterscotch, citrus fruits, green banana, ginger and soft oak spices, it’s an excellent limited edition whisky that’s sure to tantalise your nose and palate.
The Macallan Concept No.2 brings together whisky and music, two passions of The Macallan whisky maker, Steve Bremner, who is known to be an avid house DJ. Matured in a mix of Sherry-seasoned American oak casks, Miguel Martin Sherry casks and ex-bourbon barrels, it brings aromas of rich toffee apple, oak spice, blackberries and hints of pistachio on the nose, followed by apple pie, a gentle nuttiness and cinnamon spice on the palate. A truly unique and excellent expression.
