This Ardbeg 22 Year Old is the final release in the popular Twenty Something series. The whisky in this bottle was created at a time when the distillery’s future was uncertain, with still producing tiny amounts of spirit thanks to a huge drop in demand. A few young whisky enthusiasts were determined to keep Ardbeg operational and dreamed of a prosperous future for the distillery. This expression is one of the results of those dreams and it brings green apples, poached pears, peppermint tea and subtle vanilla together with the famous notes of Islay peat smoke. It’s a hugely accomplished dram that is a great addition to any collection.
