Description
The single malt whisky in this gorgeous two bottle set was distilled at Islay’s Bunnahabhain distillery in 2003 and aged for around 14 years in a top quality sherry butt, before being bottled by Or Sileis in 2018. The sherry cask has brought a rich, golden amber colour to the liquid and has imparted a range of delicious notes onto the spirit, including stewed fruits, varnished oak, wood spices and sherry soaked raisins. These combine excellently with the gentle floral and saline notes of the spirit to create a well-rounded, balanced and relatively rich drinking experience.
The labelling is equally as beautiful, with each bottle showcasing the left and right sides of an intricate and elegant Asian warrior mask. When both bottles are placed side by side, it makes for an eye-catching whisky set that will look the part in any drinks cabinet.
With only 305 bottles produced, these won’t last long.
