Description
A stunning Caol Ila 13 Year Old that was distilled on Islay in 2007 and matured in refill bourbon barrels before being given a five year finishing period in Hermitage casks (a French wine) and then being bottled by Gordon & MacPhail for their popular Connoisseurs Choice range in 2021. It brings an intriguing array of of tasting notes to the table including fruit cake, cherries, cured meat, gentle smoke and rich oak. It really is a truly fine whisky and one that was limited to 3,934 bottles upon release.
