This very well-aged Linkwood 40 Year Old was distilled in 1970 before being matured and then bottled by Gordon & MacPhail. Both the distillery and the bottler has a rich history of releasing exquisite single malts, and this is yet another one of those. It’s absolutely packing with a range of rich, full notes only found in the oldest whiskies, including deep oak, stewed fruits and an unparalleled smoothness. A real gem of Scotch whisky.
