About Aberlour
Aberlour is a Speyside distillery located in Abelour, Scotland, near the rivers Lour and Spey. These are rivers with quite a story in Scottish folklore and they have long held attraction to local people. The ancient druids for example believed it to have healing powers, apparently they used it to produce alcohol and as all their ailments seemed to disappear for a while, their belief was not entirely unfounded. A few centuries later St Drostán is said to have stopped by and baptized many in these waters while on his mission to bring Christianity to Scotland.
Aberlour specializes in single malt Scotch whisky and makes a wide variety of age statements, everything from NAS to 30 year old so you can be sure you will find something to your liking. It has also won plenty of international awards at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition and the World Whisky Awards, there is obviously something about this whisky!
