The Balvenie 21 Year Old The Second Red Rose is a stunning limited edition bottling from the famous Speyside Distillery that is the second edition paying homage to the same, romantic story that surrounds the distillery. Inspired by the history of Balvenie Castle, it celebrates the story of the red rose, which was apparently used by Margaret Douglas, widow of the 8th Earl of Douglas, to pay King James II for her room at Balvenie Castle.
This second edition is finished in an Australian Shiraz Cask that has imparted incredibly rich notes of fruits, berries and charred oak onto the already juicy and fruity spirit. It works magic on your nose and palate and delivers a tasting experience that you will remember forever. Someone may even let you use it to pay your rent, if you’re lucky.
