Description
This absolutely stunning Caol Ila 6 Year Old is up there with the most elegant bottles we have ever seen. Distilled in 2004 at the world famous Caol Ila Distillery, it was then matured for 6 years in an ex-Pedro Ximenez cask that has imparted a dark ruby colour onto the liquid, along with a plethora of delightfully rich notes, before being bottled by Murray McDavid. Dark fruits, Christmas cake and cinnamon spice mingle with building peat smoke and sweet oak on the nose, before black coffee, spiced sultanas, milk chocolate and a tickle of sea salt make themselves known on the palate. The finish is long and holds until your next sip. This all comes packaged in a beautiful bottle and tin that features an attractive green and black label that looks great against the dark liquid.
