The Highland Park Ragnvald is a superb single malt whisky from Scotland’s most northerly distillery. Making up part of the epic Warrior Series, this bottling was matured in a combination of European and American oak casks, resulting in a smooth, balanced and well-rounded drinking experience. Expect notes of gentle heather to mingle with sweet honey, light peat smoke, dried fruits and subtle vanilla that lingers in the background. This all comes packaged in an elegant bottle and stunning wooden cabinet that would look the part in any whisky cabinet.

In this instance, the smaller portion comes from an incredibly famous distillery in Port Ellen, Islay, while the larger portion comes from […]

A 1995 Benriach, bottled by Whisk-E for the Whisky Live Tokyo 2014 exhibition. Cask Strength, natural colour, non-chill-filtered. Benriach is a distillery firmly on the up after an unusual and occasionally difficult past. The distillery was built just a stone’s throw from Longmorn by the latter’s owner, John Duff, in 1898 – just months before […]

It is a single cask release that brings citrus fruits, freshly cut grass, building peat smoke and hints of vanilla throughout. It’s an outstanding expression that any fan of Islay whisky will adore.
