This stunning Caol Ila 9 Year Old George Joe Asakura was distilled on Islay in 2011 and matured in a single sherry hogshead cask for 9 years before bottling in 2020. It was bottled by The Whisky Taste for their Battle of the Planets series, which celebrates the American animated TV Show of the same name. It comes in a iconic bottle and box and brings a plethora of outstanding aromas and flavours to the table, from gentle peat smoke to hints of citrus and freshly cut grass. It’s a real delight and with only 331 bottles produced, it’s worth getting your hands on while you can!
