Description
The Laphroaig 15 Year Old is the more elegant, polished elder sibling to the distillery’s popular 12 Year Old release. It brings smoothness, complexity and the typical Laphroaig style to your nose and palate in superb fashion, providing a drinking experience that you won’t forget in a hurry. Sweet zest, spiced oak, faint sea salt and earthy peat smoke combine on the nose before nutmeg, charred nuts and citrus come through on the palate. The peaty notes gradually build and hang around for some time on the finish. As with most Islay whisky, it’s a carefully crafted dram that takes you on a journey from the island’s peat bogs to the coastal distillery front.
The Laphroaig 15 Year Old isn’t always readily available online, so it’s well worth getting your hands on while you can.
