Heather is a very representative plant of Scotland, it is an important food source for all kinds of sheep and deer grazing in the mountains, and in the Middle Ages was also used as a beer brewing hop, by the summer season, the mountains and valleys will appear lavender flowers. The addition of smoked Heather (or Calluna) during baking has a special effect on the flavour of the whisky, resulting in a distinct floral and slightly fresh herbal aroma. Citrus and spice with honey, cloves, and caramelized dates to create a rich palate, crisp sweetness, and oak notes; The finish is oak and dry floral.
