This stunning new 29 Year Old single cask single malt from the brilliant Glenrothes distillery was distilled in 1990 and laid to mature in a single hogshead cask that has imparted a range of delicious notes onto the spirit, before being bottled by Or Sileis in 2019. Butterscotch, buttered toast, melted chocolate and a range of spices are apparent on the nose, before stewed fruits, warm toffee and gentle hints of roasted coffee beans appear on the palate. This all comes inside an elegant bottle featuring an artistic depiction of a powerful emperor of China on the label.
