Created at the famous Springbank distillery using Optic barley grown at the local High Cattadale Farm, it was then matured in a combination of three different cask types – 77% bourbon casks, 20% sherry casks and 3% Port pipes. This helped to create a natural, fruity and incredibly smooth expression that offers a drinking experience that you’ll remember for some time to come.
It brings sugared peels, sweet roasted barley and a smidgen of charred oak on the nose, followed by tropical fruits that dance on your palate before a gentle breeze of smoke cuts through the sweetness and sets up the finish. The finish brings subtle sea-salt, sweet mangos, lashing of vanilla and sticky toffee. It’s a truly natural and honest dram that every whisky-lover should experience.
